Account Relations Specialist (Eldridge, IA)

Central Scott Telephone/CS Technologies is looking to hire an experienced Account Relations Specialist.


Job Summary:

Perform a variety of customer service duties associated with sales, installation and maintenance of accounts, including, in-person and phone communications along with data entry. Team members will be required to learn proprietary customer management software.


Serves as primary point of contact for new customers. Assists customers with billing inquiries, new service requests, disconnects and special deposits. Completes paperwork for service applications and disconnects. Investigates credit references of new customers and performs collection functions on delinquent accounts. Sells and promotes services of the company while dealing with new and existing customers.

These services include but are not limited to Internet, Television, and Phone service. In the greater Quad Cities and Dubuque marketplaces, we also promote our B2B, Governmental, Health and Educational capabilities as CS Technologies, offering Internet and Data Solutions along with Business Phone services.

 

Qualifications:

EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma - required
  • Relevant Associate’s degree – in lieu of experience

 

EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Experience in telecommunications or cable television industries - preferred.
  • Customer Service and/or previous Sales experience - required.
  • Strong Sales and Service aptitude with good objection handling skills - required.
  • Positive attitude and professional demeanor with excellent listening, verbal and written skills especially when dealing with customers - required.
  • Ability to manage customer relationships, build trust, instill confidence and communicate technology solutions - required. 
  • Data Entry and Computer experience required.
  • Ability to work effectively (and cooperatively) across multiple areas of the company promoting great customer service resulting in lasting customer satisfaction, revenue growth and long-term retention.

Controller  (Eldridge, IA)

Central Scott Telephone and Subsidiaries is seeking an Controller for its Accounting and Finance department located in Eldridge, IA.  Eldridge is located just north of the Quad Cities metro-area offering access to amenities often missing in a small-town environment.


This position will be training with the current Controller who is retiring in 2022. This role reports directly to the CFO who has been with Central Scott Telephone since 1998. In this role you will support the operations of Central Scott Telephone in Eldridge, IA, Cuba City Telephone and Belmont Telephone in WI, as well as CLEC operations in the Quad Cities of Iowa and Illinois and Dubuque, IA.

 

Job Functions:

  • Assist with the preparation of Financial Statements and related analysis
  • Regulatory filings with State and National government bodies
  • Maintenance and reconciliation of general ledger accounts, making appropriate adjustments on a timely basis
  • Prepare supporting schedules and explanations for external auditors
  • Compilation of Data for corporate office and regulatory agencies
  • Assist with annual budget preparation, forecast adjustments and annual financial audit
  • Supervise accounts payable and payroll functions to insure accurate processing
  • Other assignments as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related business field required
  • Strong working knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is essential
  • CPA license or advanced degree preferred
  • Experience with telecommunications and broadband services preferred
  • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in an accounting role preferred
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office applications

Telecom Network Technician (Eldridge, IA)

Central Scott Telephone / CS Technologies is looking to hire an experienced Telecom Network Technician. Eldridge, Iowa is just 10 minutes north of the Quad-Cities. In Eldridge, Central Scott Telephone has 21 employees serving over 3,500 broadband subscribers. 


JOB SUMMARY:

Performs a variety of duties including Internet, phone and video-service installations and repair; supports timely customer installations and ongoing satisfaction.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Central Scott Telephone / CS Technologies provide Internet, phone and video-services in the Scott County communities of Eldridge, Long Grove, Parkview, Donahue, McCausland & Dixon, Iowa. CS Technologies currently operates in the communities of Bettendorf, Davenport, and Dubuque, Iowa as well as Rock Island and Moline, Illinois. Together with our Wisconsin operations Central Scott Telephone / CS Technologies serves a diverse mix of both residential and business customer requirements.


Central Scott Telephone / CS Technologies of Eldridge, Iowa is seeking a motivated individual with technical skills to perform a variety of installation and repair duties including Internet, phone and video-service installations. Other responsibilities consist of trouble shooting and repair of these services. The ideal candidate will have a relevant Associates degree, plus knowledge of or experience with copper, coaxial and fiber based facilities, IPTV, ADSL 2+, VDSL, LAN/WAN, Adtran TA5K platform, Calix B & E series, data circuits, FTTH, DSLAM, Cat 5E, span lines, Hi-Caps, Ethernet, and Wi-Fi. 

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma - required
  • Relevant Associate’s degree - in lieu of experience


EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS
  • Various types of cabling experience – preferred
  • CATV and IPTV experience - preferred

Travel is required to customer locations; must be able to drive company vehicle and maintain a valid state driver’s license. Must be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, climb and reach. Must be available to work occasional off hours and participate in on-call rotation. Must have good hearing and ability to identify and distinguish colors. Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, climb stairs, ladder and at times work in tight spaces. Pass drug testing. Perform other physical duties as required.


Compensation:
  • Commensurate with prior experience and in the range of $17 to $24 hourly
